Vidsly

Comparison

An InVideo AI alternative where every scene is made, not matched from stock.

Vidsly is an InVideo alternative for faceless video: it generates each scene for the line it sits under instead of assembling stock footage, and from $29 a month its unlimited lane renders at 0 credits per clip — a 480p source (720p on Unlimited Premiere, Pro and Studio; 1080p on Unlimited Ultra, Studio), inside a daily allowance of 20–60 clips.

02Where the credits go

Their FAQ explains the meter. One of our lanes removes it.

InVideo’s pricing FAQ states the model plainly: its generative models are charged at their original API pricing, out of a credit pool that resets every billing cycle. That is a pass-through. Each clip is an invoice from a model vendor, so each clip has to be metered — and when the pool runs dry, the answer is a bigger plan or a credit pack.

Vidsly resells third-party models too, and its paid Director's Cut and Seedance engines are priced in credits for exactly that reason. The difference is one lane: there we render a cheaper source — a 480p source (720p on Unlimited Premiere, Pro and Studio; 1080p on Unlimited Ultra, Studio) — and absorb the vendor bill inside the subscription. A clip costs 0 credits, and what bounds the volume is a published count of clips per day rather than a balance.

The full mechanism is on the no-credits page; running a channel on it is on the faceless YouTube page.

03When InVideo is the better buy

Three jobs InVideo does and we don’t.

  1. You need a presenter on screen

InVideo’s avatar tools offer a library of AI actors, or an avatar of you built from a 60-second clip or a YouTube link, and its voice tools include cloning. Vidsly has neither — no realistic avatars, no cloned voices; narration comes from our catalog. If the brief is a face, or one specific person’s voice, choose them.

  2. You’re editing footage you shot

InVideo is a full multitrack editor — timeline, colour, audio and 3D tools — with a 16M+ stock library and exports from 720p to 4K at up to 60 fps. Vidsly is not an editor for your own footage: it generates scenes, delivers a 1080p canvas, and on the unlimited lane that canvas is scaled up from a 480p source (720p on Unlimited Premiere, Pro and Studio; 1080p on Unlimited Ultra, Studio). Real footage, real b-roll or 4K is their territory.

  3. You need captions, or a free export

Subtitles are part of InVideo’s generated video, and their free plan can export — with a watermark until you subscribe, per their help center. Vidsly burns no captions into AI video, and a free account here cannot make an AI video at all: 150 credits covers narration, and the cheapest paid video scene is 420.

Need captions on your own photos instead? The photo-video tool takes your images and audio and can burn subtitles in — it is the one place Vidsly does.

04Questions

What people ask before switching.

What is the main difference between InVideo AI and Vidsly?
Where the picture comes from, and how it is billed. InVideo’s faceless generator writes a script and assembles it from a library of 16M+ stock photos and videos, with AI models available per clip from a monthly credit pool. Vidsly generates every scene instead — an AI image for each line, motion made from that image, each clip cut to the narration under it — and from $29 a month its unlimited lane does that at 0 credits per clip, inside a daily allowance. InVideo facts are from invideo.io, checked October 2026.
How do InVideo AI’s credits work?
Their pricing page lists Starter at $20, Plus at $60 and Max at $150 per seat per month, with 400, 2,000 and 5,000 credits respectively (Plus $36 and Max $75 a month billed annually, shown as discounts). Their FAQ says generative models are charged at their original API pricing, that unused credits don’t roll over, and that credit costs can change without notice; extra credit packs are sold on top. As a guide, their page prices Seedance 2.0 Fast at about 30 credits per 5-second 720p clip. Source: invideo.io/pricing, checked October 2026 — plans move, so check it yourself.
How does Vidsly’s pricing work?
A free tier with 150 welcome credits and no card, then subscriptions at $4, $9, $29, $49 and $99 a month; annual is 10 months’ price. One monthly credit balance covers voiceover, images and the paid video engines, and unused credits roll over for up to 90 days. From $29 the unlimited lane costs 0 credits per clip and per scene image, so a whole generation on it never touches that balance.
If a clip costs 0 credits, what is the limit?
A daily clip allowance: 20 a day on Creator, 40 on Pro, 60 on Studio, resetting at midnight UTC, where a 720p clip counts as 2 and a 1080p Ultra clip as 4. A video needing more clips than the day has left starts now with what fits and finishes automatically after the midnight-UTC reset — over up to 5 days for a very long one. You never re-submit it, and it never costs credits.
What is the catch on the unlimited lane?
Resolution and patience. It renders a 480p source (720p on Unlimited Premiere, Pro and Studio; 1080p on Unlimited Ultra, Studio), and the delivered file is scaled up from that source, so it looks softer than a native render. It is also a relaxed queue rather than an instant button, with an email when the video is ready. The paid Director's Cut and Seedance engines render native 1080p.
Does Vidsly have AI avatars or voice cloning like InVideo?
No. There are no realistic avatars and no voice cloning in the Studio — the only lip-synced output is a drawn talking character on the developer API. Narration comes from 51 voices in the main picker plus 34 more in the full library (85 in all), across 16 languages. If a presenter or a cloned voice is essential, InVideo is the better fit.
Does Vidsly add subtitles?
Not on AI-generated video. There is no subtitle step in that pipeline and no .srt file is delivered, so plan on captioning in your uploader or editor. Optional burned-in subtitles exist only on the photo-video tool, where you supply your own images and audio.
Can Vidsly make long-form faceless videos?
Yes, within limits. Vertical 9:16 videos run up to 3 minutes, and widescreen 16:9 up to 10 minutes and 70 scenes. On the unlimited lane each clip is at most 6 seconds, so the longest unlimited widescreen video is about 7 minutes; a full 10-minute video needs the paid engines.
When is InVideo the better choice?
When you need a presenter, a cloned voice, captions in the file, 4K, or a real editor for footage you shot — InVideo does all of those and Vidsly does none of them. Vidsly is the better fit when the shot you need does not exist in a stock library and you want to make a lot of them without a per-clip meter.
